Judy Rebel: a different perspective on employability

Curriculum

The common thread throughout my professional life is employability. My background:

  • Over twenty years of experience as an HR professional in various sectors as an employee;
  • Over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur. Of those, thirteen years in my own company with branches in the Netherlands and Poland, and over five years as a freelancer.
  • HBO Bachelor HRM (2020), supplemented with many professional certificates, peer review, and continuing education.
  • ACTive and DISC-expert

With this background, I understand exactly what you experience in the heat of the moment.

Targets, hassles, work pressure, and meanwhile, people demanding your attention while you have too little time for what it all started with. That could be entrepreneurship, but as a manager, you also need ideals and personal fulfillment. What makes you get out of bed in the morning?

Everyone goes to work with energy and comes home fulfilled!

That experience aligns perfectly with my motto: Everyone going to work with pleasure and returning home satisfied. Employability makes that possible. If you arrange prevention well, approach team development smartly, and take careers seriously, then absenteeism decreases and reintegration runs faster and smoother if it is nonetheless necessary.

Private life

As a mother of four beautiful daughters, I am used to juggling many balls both at home and in my private life. That suits my neurodivergent brain; I see connections quickly, think creatively, and bring a lot of energy.

This can sometimes come across as overwhelming, which is why I dose it carefully. This way, I don’t drain myself, and work doesn’t feel like work.

Furthermore, I love reading, music, watching films and series, and continuing to develop myself. I also enjoy sports, especially outdoors.

My core values are: Positivity, Development, Gentleness, Boldness, and Stability.

Approach

You get a no-nonsense approach with humor. Furthermore, you get pace, structure, and clear choices.

I am ACTive and DISC-expert.
Not just because it sounds good. These are my favorite tools from positive psychology.

DISC makes complicated communication behavior simple and visible.

ACT makes difficult thoughts and strict rules in your head lighter and more bearable.

In both cases, space is created. Space to make choices that truly suit you. To do what you enjoy. To make dreams come true. Or to finally start moving toward what you have wanted for a long time. As a person. As a team. Or as a manager.

Where does the name Rebelski come from?

A colleague always used to call me that. It felt pleasant, and the thought immediately occurred to me that if I ever started my own business, this would be my company name. It also happens to be a tomato and a band.

By now, I can say that my treasure chest of methods, interventions, models, and work forms is well-filled. But I continue to develop and follow further training because I believe you are never done learning!
