What is an assessment?

An assessment is a questionnaire that provides insight into someone’s personality or behavior. There are many different types of assessments, and I have chosen these three:

  • DISC: offers insight into behavioral and communication styles, leadership styles, thinking styles, or drivers.
  • TMA: offers insight into a person’s motivation and the associated talents and pitfalls. Provides a competency passport and a vocational choice test.
  • Rebelski team diagnosis: an online questionnaire that immediately shows how your team is doing and serves as the starting point for a team trajectory.

How does an assessment help me?

  • For career issues, both TMA and DISC are suitable. If you want to know more about competencies and talents, TMA is the right fit. If you want to know more about behavior and communication and aligning with colleagues, then DISC is appropriate.
  • Leadership issues are excellently clarified with the “PowerDISC”: you gain a clear picture of both your DISC and leadership styles and how you can align these with your employees (and their styles and level of development).
  • For teams, DISC is excellent for learning to speak a common language and identifying pain points and development areas. It results in engaging interactive team sessions by working with various materials and exercises, combining them with your individual styles.

Um… that test with the colors, is it actually reliable?

Unfortunately, there are many “cowboys” on the market who throw around “color tests” without providing the necessary explanation because they are insufficiently trained. Read my blog about DISC.

Every person is unique, and TMA and DISC are not intended to pigeonhole people. You are not blue or red; you behave that way under certain circumstances.

TMA is not about colors at all but shows what gives someone energy or what drains them. Read my blog about TMA.

I only work with validated instruments and am a trained and certified professional who interprets the results in a careful and ethical manner.

Only then can this be a valuable tool for increasing self-awareness, promoting effective communication, and improving team dynamics.

DISC basic analysis

This assessment measures a person’s preferred behavior and communication style. There are four basic styles: action-oriented versus calm, and people-oriented versus task-oriented. The D-style stands for Dominance, the I-style for Influence, the S-style for Steadiness, and the C-style for Conscientiousness. There are 40 possible style combinations! Download the DISC brochure here.

DISC + Thinking Styles & Drivers

DISC3D variant: Discover with the thinking styles how someone filters information, performs tasks, and what gives them energy. Download the Thinking Styles PDF here for more information.

Discover with the drivers what someone’s intrinsic motivators and hidden values are. Download the Drivers PDF here for more information.

DISC Leadership Analysis

The basic report supplemented with a
description of how someone utilizes their leadership capacities. The following seven leadership competencies are measured and described:
• People-oriented leadership
• Directing
• Implementing
• Information analysis
• Creativity
• Perseverance
• Interpersonal relationships

With this analysis, you can support your people even better in their self-leadership, task maturity, and development! Read more in the Rebelski Download DISC Leadership PDF.

TMA: Talent Motivation Analysis

This assessment measures no fewer than 22 drivers and 44 talents. Additionally, it links the degree of developability to 53 common competencies found in job descriptions and vacancies. Read more about the TMA talent model here.
